Cyber Sec Education Objectives
- To promote awareness about cybersecurity, cyber forensics, and cyber operations from an interdisciplinary framework;
- Provide training and orientation to IT Security personnel in various organizations and IT professionals involved in EDP activities in enterprises including BFSI, to improve security and minimize damages due to cybersecurity breaches;
- Expand the pipeline for a cybersecurity workforce through focused educational programs for a diverse group of learners including students of the institute and various engineering colleges;
- Facilitate a whole of government approach for responding to cybersecurity issues;
- Serve as a development center & clearing-house for cybersecurity academic programming, research, training, and prevention tools.
- Facilitate the interdisciplinary collaboration of faculty from across the Institute to attract funding and to address real-world problems through innovative and cutting edge research& development

Government Employee Training and Awareness Program
Cyber Etiquette and Best Practices Program for Government Employees
- Emphasizing the importance of security, comprehensive training will be provided to all government staff.
- Introducing a pioneering initiative in Indian State Governments, this program aims to train and certify all government employees in safeguarding the critical IT infrastructure of e-Governance and IT systems. The training will be conducted in collaboration with IIT-M.
- A mobile app-based Learning Management System (LMS) will enable self-paced learning, allowing employees to conveniently access modules and assessments.
- Bi-monthly classes will be conducted for doubt clarification and live demonstrations.
- Non-adherence and non-compliance will be reported to senior officials.
- Remote online support will be available via chat and email for any clarifications needed.
